  5月中 很幸運參與東京都廳振興離島經濟，空房屋修復再利用計劃，短短兩天搭船週遊各島之間，訪談地方民情，實在太充實了。 我去研究了東京都內的新島和式根島。這些地方讓我想起了台灣的澎湖和蘭嶼。島民們對家鄉有著深厚的感情，希望能振興當地觀光業。他們也為自己的傳統石屋和木質建築感到自豪。我覺得自己像個旅遊大使 ——互相推薦與邀請，促進台日兩國持續交流與友好。 當然，我也刻意介紹一些台灣獨特的文化遺產保育項目，包括新北投火車站、樂生療養院、蘭陽原住民文創館、泰雅族博物館等，都是由我公司設計的。藉此，我希望他們更深入了解台灣豐富且獨特的文化資產。

5月中旬、私はとても幸運なことに、東京都庁が推進する「離島経済の活性化と空き家再利用プロジェクト」に参加する機会を得ました。たった二日間の船旅でしたが、複数の島を巡り、現地の人々の暮らしを直接取材するという、非常に充実した体験となりました。

私は東京都内の新島と式根島を訪れました。これらの島々は、台湾の澎湖（ポンフー）や蘭嶼（ランユー）を思い起こさせる風景と雰囲気を持っています。島民たちは郷土への深い愛着を持ち、観光業の活性化に強い希望を抱いています。また、彼らは伝統的な石造りや木造の建築を誇りに思っており、その思いにとても共感しました。

私はまるで観光大使のような気持ちで、互いに観光地を紹介し合い、台日両国の継続的な交流と友好を促進しようと努めました。

もちろん、台湾のユニークな文化遺産保存プロジェクトについても積極的に紹介しました。たとえば、新北投駅、楽生療養院、蘭陽原住民文化創意館、タイヤル族博物館など、いずれも私の会社が設計に携わったものです。これを通じて、台湾が持つ豊かで独自性あふれる文化資産への理解を深めてもらえたらと思っています。

In mid-May, I was fortunate to participate in a project led by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government aimed at revitalizing the island economy and reusing vacant houses. Although it lasted only two days, I traveled by boat between several islands, interviewed local residents, and gained a deeply fulfilling experience.

I conducted research on Niijima and Shikinejima, two remote islands under Tokyo’s jurisdiction. These places reminded me of Taiwan’s Penghu and Orchid Island. The islanders have a deep attachment to their homeland and hope to revitalize local tourism. They also take great pride in their traditional stone houses and wooden architecture, which I found truly inspiring.

I felt like a tourism ambassador—exchanging recommendations and invitations to help promote ongoing exchange and friendship between Japan and Taiwan.

Of course, I also made a point of introducing some of Taiwan’s unique cultural heritage preservation projects. These included the Xinbeitou Train Station, Lo-Sheng Sanatorium, Lanyang Indigenous Cultural and Creative Hall, and the Atayal Museum—all of which were designed by my company. Through this, I hope they gained a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s rich and distinctive cultural assets.
